Ronn Yedidia

Out Soon: Prophets

“Prophets” is the bold new project from acclaimed pianist and composer Ronn Yedidia, featuring a quartet of world-class musicians: Immanuel Davis (flute), Eddy Khaimovich (bass), and Paolo Cantarella (drums). Recorded at Kaleidoscope Sound between 2020–2023 and produced by Yedidia himself, “Prophets” blends classical artistry, jazz innovation, and intricate chamber-style interplay. The album highlights Yedidia’s signature writing style, marked by rich textures, compelling melodies, and a seamless exchange between piano and flute set against a dynamic rhythm section.

This recording features a selection of nine original works by Yedidia, including pieces like Landscapes, Streams, Funking, Carry On, Arabesque, Flashback, Horizons, If Ever, and Quest. Each track offers a unique sonic journey—from the vibrant grooves of Funking to the contemplative lyricism of Landscapes—and together they showcase Yedidia’s ability to craft music that is both technically stunning and emotionally resonant. The ensemble’s synergy allows each instrument to shine: Khaimovich’s bass anchors the harmonies, Cantarella’s drums propel the energy, and Davis’s flute soars with warmth and agility alongside Yedidia’s expressive piano playing.

With “Prophets,” Yedidia continues his lifelong commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz and classical fusion. The album reflects not just virtuosic performance but also storytelling through sound—blending classical precision, jazz improvisation, and cross-cultural rhythms. Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Kyle Cassel, and featuring striking artwork and photography by Giampaolo La Vita, “Prophets” is a testament to Yedidia’s vision of creating music that resonates deeply while transcending genre.
